A story of friendship, purpose, and possibility.
Atheris was founded in 2023 by three friends, Dr. Azhar Rana, Adam Hulley, and Kosta Drezgic, who shared a belief that life sciences consulting could be done differently. With decades of combined experience across pharma leadership and medical communications, they set out to build a consultancy rooted in scientific rigour, close client partnerships, and a passion for problem-solving.
The company is named in honour of Luka Petrašinović, a beloved friend and family member who founded a small business called Atheris Watch Company before he passed away in 2020. The name carries his memory forward, anchoring everything the team builds in the values he was known for: craftsmanship, care, and helping others.
The name itself runs deeper. Atheris is a genus of bush vipers: small, agile, and highly adapted, found in the rainforests of Central and West Africa. They are not the largest snakes, but they are precise, deliberate, and remarkably specialised for their environment. That spirit shapes our ethos: we move with purpose, we work with precision, and we evolve with progress.
